We are delighted to announce that our adjudicators for 2019 will be Geoff Lucas (dance) and Richard Deering (music).

      Geoff Lucas

Over the past 30 years Geoff has had a varied career with highlights being in the musicals Cats, Heathcliff, A Chorus Line, Godspell, Divorce me Darling and many more! As a singer he was a member of Stutz Bear Cats the international harmony group for several years. He regularly guest lectures for major dance associations and also runs the school Elwick Academy started by his mother 62 yrs ago! As an adjudicator he works for both The British and International Federation of Festivals and All England Dance. Based in London but also in the North East on a weekly basis.

     Richard Deering

Richard has been an adjudicator member of the British and International Federation of Festivals for over 30 years adjudicating an average of 12 festivals a year, including many overseas festivals, as a piano specialist and generalist. He has given piano performances – soloist and accompanist – in over 90 countries and has held teaching positions in establishments such as London College of Music, Trinity College of Music, Cambridge University and New York State University. He is also highly involved in the setting and examining of the Trinity Guildhall syllabus. His Federation work included serving on the Central Board of Trustees, Vice-Chair of the Adjudicator’s Council and with the administration of the PGCA qualification.
